THAI YOGA MASSAGE
This offer allows you to taste the touch of the Sacred Dance of Thai Yoga Massage, a full body massage is given. With the application of rhythmic pressure on certain energy points and lines in the body and the yogic stretching of muscles and joint manipulation, blockages can be released and the energy restored to its natural flow.
The massage is done on a futon matt on the floor with the receiver fully clothed in loose comfortable clothes - Sometimes static in technique (sinking deeply in a meditative state) or quite dynamic . . .deepening.
Thai massage promotes general health and wellbeing. It has a double purpose. On the preventive side, it activates the free-flowing energy and improves fluid circulation, digestion, breathing capacity, body posture, flexibility, as well as releasing nervous tension. On the therapeutic side, it can relieve a large number of pathologies such as lower back pain, headaches, digestive problems, stress, insomnia, nervous imbalance, neck, and shoulder muscular tightness just to name a few. . .
HOW DOES SOUND HEALING WORK?
Therapeutic instruments such as Tibetan singing bowls and gongs stimulate the alpha and theta brain wave frequencies associated with meditative, clear, and peaceful states of mind.
Alpha brainwaves are present during light meditation, daydreaming and deep relaxation. Theta brainwaves are present during REM dreaming sleep, deep meditation, and hypnosis. These states are considered the gateway to the subconscious mind and it's here where we experience heightened creativity, depth of imagination, and access to the subconscious realms where deep-seated healing can take place.
Therapeutic sound also impacts our nervous system, slowing the heart, brain and respiratory rates down to induce a state of deep relaxation and peace. When the brain waves and body are synchronized, balance can be restored and stress can be released.
